Harness & Livery Stable -John Lauer and Mr. Floyd Gano began a partnership in 1910 and continued until 1928 when the highway was built. The Building was located at the corner of Greene Street and State Route 7.

Newport Hotel

 

H. Wesley Hoff was the owner of the Newport Hotel in the early 1900's. This picture was taken in 1910. It was located where the I.G.A. now stands. Pictures are Wesley, Elizabeth and daughter, Hannah. The hotel was a two story, frame building with two large glass windows in front.
