Look at what's new in the Newport Cemetery!
When we offered Shall We Gather at the River?, we promised to use the proceeds for the preservation of cemetery markers. Our profits were enough to place a marker near the original marker of John and Mary Greene and their daughter Sarah. It is our way of letting future generations know that we gather at the river every 100 years!
With a thought to the future, Susy Wetz has graciously spent many hours producing and editing a keepsake DVD to commemorate our 2008 Greene Reunion. Included on one DVD is the information from the Marietta Walking Tour and the history from the 1908 presentation plus many photos. We are proud to offer this DVD to those who wish to preserve a portion of that weekend and to remember our roots in early Marietta and Newport.
